Vocabulary Practice & Word Lists

Vocabulary is the raw material of a language. You can know every grammar rule in the book, but with a thin word bank you'll still stall mid-sentence, groping for the one term that carries the whole meaning. Words are where comprehension and expression both start.

The old way to build them was a stack of isolated flashcards: a word on one side, a translation on the other, stripped of everything that makes a word actually usable. The trouble is that words don't live alone. The same term shifts with the sentence around it, and a word learned in a vacuum tends to stay stuck there, recognized on a card but useless in a real line of speech. Vocabulary that transfers is vocabulary learned in context.

Atlas Runa is a vocabulary tool built around context instead of translation pairs. Inside the reader, tap any word to see its meaning plus an explanation of how it's working in that exact sentence, then save it with one tap. Saved words don't vanish into a deck you have to babysit; they come back on their own in future reading, drills, and review. When you want structure, ready-made word lists, organized by topic or by how common a word is, feed straight into the same system, so you can prioritize the words you'll actually meet first. You can even bring your own ebooks in and read them with the same tap-to-learn tools.
