Previous update: Atlas Runa May 2026 Product Update
Reading
Reading progress is now more intentional. Opening a chapter no longer counts as finishing it; progress, history, and read-through stats update when you explicitly mark the chapter read.
- Added support for longer reading series so lessons can connect across multiple chapters
- Improved reading recommendations by blending reading, listening, and vocabulary evidence
- Made read-through detection more responsive to words you are likely to understand from context
Learning Content
We improved the review path for generated reading material so new lessons can be longer, cleaner, and easier to quality-check before they reach learners.
- Better structure for long-form readings and connected chapters
- Cleaner dialogue formatting in generated readings
- More reliable quality checks before new reading material is published
iOS App (not yet on store)
The iOS app moved closer to web parity for reading and listening practice.
- Listening quizzes now appear in the iOS app
- Listening sessions now show up in study history
- Reading stats now follow the same explicit "mark read" behavior as the web app
Conjugation
Conjugation practice received several progression and feedback fixes.
- Fixed tense completion, pronoun unlocks, and review level progression
- Improved recap sessions so they focus more directly on forms that need practice
- Split Italian compound tense levels by auxiliary so advanced practice is better scoped
Chinese Reader
Chinese reading lookup is more accurate, especially for words with multiple possible pronunciations.
- Improved pinyin display on iOS
- Preserved alternate dictionary readings for Chinese polyphones
- Ranked likely pronunciations more reliably during lookup
Vocabulary
- Vocabulary review buttons now respond immediately
- Known-word counts are now aligned across web, iOS, and the top navigation
- Native word browsing copy is clearer
